World of Outlaws)Eldora Speedway showed
exactly why it’s known as “The World’s Greatest Dirt Track” on
Saturday night. The #LetsRaceTwo finale for the World of Outlaws
NOS Energy Drink Sprint Cars gave fans a main event they
couldn’t look away from. It was everything you could ask for. A
10-time champion battling a driver eying his first. A tricky
racing surface with multiple grooves. Several late passes for
the lead including one last move to secure the victory on the
last lap.World of Outlaws5/5

High Limit)The stars were out in full
force as Shane Stewart's Heartland of America Showdown opened on
Friday night at Kansas City's Lakeside Speedway with 39 of the
nation's best beginning their quest for a $50,000 payday.
Altoona, Iowa's Austin McCarl earned the pole position by
winning the FK Rod Ends Dash and was joined by Parker
Price-Miller on the front row of the 25-lap A-Main. McCarl led
the opening five circuits before it became a three-way battle
for the lead and things really heated up. Third-starting Tyler
Courtney officially took the lead on Lap 6 and promptly brought
fifth-starting Brad Sweet with him as the duo split McCarl and
formed their own fight for control of the field. Officially,
"Sunshine" and "The Big Cat" only swapped the lead four times -
but there were countless exchanges and slidejobs that won't go
down in the box score.

USAC)Robert Ballou wasn’t 100 percent
sure his car would stick, nor did he even think he was close
enough to take his shot on the final two turns of Friday night’s
#LetsRaceTwo opener at Rossburg, Ohio’s Eldora Speedway.
Residing a half-straightaway back from leader Kyle Cummins as he
took the white flag, Ballou (Rocklin, Calif.) put his right rear
tire right up next to the outside wall all the way around the
half-mile dirt oval, and ultimately, tracked down the low-riding
Cummins to win at the stripe by mere inches – .016 second to be
precise – and pocket $10,000 for his efforts.USAC5/3

NARC/KoT)The NARC 410 Sprint Car Series
show scheduled for Saturday, May 4th, at the Thunderbowl Raceway
in Tulare has been canceled due to bad weather. With the Tulare
Airport doppler radar predicting a 90%-plus chance of rain on
Saturday, promoter Steve Faria was left with no choice but to
scrub the planned Chris & Brian Faria Memorial race. Also on
this program was the Kings of Thunder 360 sprint cars. The next
NARC event at Tulare will be on Saturday, May 18th, as part of a
double-header weekend that also features a Sunday Twilight show
at the Stockton Dirt Track on Sunday. This marks the fifth
weather related cancellation or postponement this NARC season.
Only two-races have made it into the books. As of this time, the
event will not be rescheduled due to a lack of feasible race
dates.5/2

World of Outlaws)The apple doesn’t fall
far from the tree in the Haudenschild family. Almost 14 years to
the date that Jac Haudenschild drove to the win at Kentucky’s
Paducah International Raceway, his son – Sheldon Haudenschild –
put together a very similar race to make his own trip to Victory
Lane. Back in 2010, Jac slipped by Jason Sides exiting Turn 4 on
the opening lap and led the entire distance for the win. On
Friday night, Sheldon blasted by Bill Balog in Turn 4 on Lap 2
and controlled the remainder of the race to triumph with the
World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Cars. In Haudenschild
fashion, neither shied from Paducah’s intimidating topside on
their path to victory.World of Outlaws 4/19
