(Bill W) September 12, 2016 – Brian Brown and the Casey’s General Stores/FVP #21 team are ready to tackle the World of Outlaws this week in three events. Wednesday night, the El Paso County Raceway in Calhan, Colorado plays host to the WoO. On Friday, the series will make its annual appearance during the Clay County Fair in Spencer, Iowa, and Saturday, they will tow to Brian’s home state of Missouri to invade the US36 Raceway bullring near Cameron for the FVP Missouri High-Banked Nationals.
Your week starts Wednesday in Colorado.
We’re really looking forward to that. FVP and Factory Motor Parts has some locations really close. They’re going to have some customers and employees there. So it’s key for us to get there…and not only get there, but run well.
This will be a new track for everyone.
We seem to be pretty good on brand new tracks. We broke a track record earlier in the year in Queen Creek, Arizona. We seem to adapt pretty well.
You head to Spencer on Friday.
Spencer has been feast or famine for us. We’ve been in contention in the top five to win, and we’ve been towards the back as well. The key with any of the Outlaw shows is getting qualified in. That’s the most important part of the night. That sets you up for a good night.
It has become a big event over the years.
We’re looking forward to getting back there. It’s always a great atmosphere with the fair going on. It’s always been a great event, and one we look forward to.
You’ve had your ups and downs in Cameron, but you’ll be back there Saturday.
FVP will be the presenting sponsor of that event. It’s important again for us to have a good run. It’s one of the closer tracks to the house that we race at. Cameron hasn’t always been one of my favorite tracks, but when they get it slick and wide where you can race, it puts on a phenomenal show!
Your local fans will be excited to see you.
I know everyone in the area is excited about the Outlaws coming back there. I look for it to be not only a good showing of FVP customers and employees, but a good crowd in general.
This week is going to keep you busy!
We’re looking forward to the week. If we can put ourselves in position for top fives, we can definitely do some damage.
