Terry McCarl's tribute to Lenard
I was able to get a few pit shots of some new schemes for the Nationals. I missed David Gravel and Bob Weuve as they were late arrivers, so I'll try to get them yet this weekend. Terry McCarl's scheme was a tribute to his father Lenard's 1974 sprinter. He refused to run it without a wing, however. In 1974 the top three cars in season points at Knoxville were built by Lenard. Roger Rager won the championship ahead of Lenard and Steve Hainline.
