Madsen worked past Bacon for third on lap four. Clauson had something lock up on him and he skidded to a stop on lap eight. Two laps after the green fell, Brown slid in front of Reutzel for the lead, but when Brown stumbled over the cushion in turn four on the next lap, Reutzel reclaimed the point. Shortly after, Phillips flipped in turns three and four. He was o.k. Reutzel led Brown, K. Madsen, Bacon and Swindell back to green. Swindell claimed fourth. Reutzel stayed out front, while K. Madsen tried to chase down Brown. He threw a wicked slider in turn four on him sending him over teh cushion on lap 17. Brown lost another spot in the move. Three laps later, Reutzel jumped the turn four cushion and got sideways. That gave K. Madsen the opportunity he needed and he took the lead and coasted the last five laps to the 20K.
