The 30-lapper turned into an endurance test.  Brown led Montieth and Dietrich early.  Hodnett had moved into the top five by lap eight.  Brown’s right rear tire began deflating until he slowed to a stop with 11 laps in.  That handed the lead to Montieth, ahead of Dietrich, McFadden, Hodnett and Walter.  Haas suffered a broken front end after contact on the restart.  The second try saw a lap get in before the fifth place car of Walter flipped in turn two.  He was o.k.  Dietrich slid by Montieth to lead on the restart.  McFadden slid in front of Montieth for second, but slid a little high in turn four and got upside down as well.  He was o.k.  Hodnett, who was running fourth, was collected and suffered wing damage, but an open red was called.  Hodnett would pass Montieth for second on the restart and that’s the way they ran until with four laps to go Hodnett came to a stop after smoking.  Dietrich led the rest of the way for the $4,000 prize, but there was plenty of movement behind him.  Zearfoss drove from sixth to fourth, and Kaeding moved up to third.
