Calvin Landis (5th car out to time) set quick time on a quickly drying surface at 15.243 seconds.  Dusty Zomer (1st car out) was second quick, followed by Clint Garner (3rd), Bronson Maeschen (12th), Randy Anderson (7th), Larry Pinegar II (16th), Billy Alley (19th), Skip Jackson (28th), Brian Brown (31st) and Eric Vanderploeg (8th).  Greg Jones failed to get a time in.  Mark Dobmeier got one lap in before motor troubles forced him to make an engine change and miss his heat race.  It was extremely advantageous to time in early on the parched surface.  Alley avoided disaster in hot laps, looping it twice and saving his mount about a foot from the wall.

Heat one (started): 1. Alley 17G (2) 2. Landis 70 (4) 3. Rager Phillips 10 (1) 4. Vanderploeg 86 (3) 5. Lynton Jeffrey 12 (6) 6. Tim St. Arnold 7w (7) / 7. Maeschen 96 (5) 8. Mike Moore 69 (8) 9. Ian Madsen 55K (9) 10. Greg Jones 3J (10) DNS - Mark Dobmeier 13

Phillips shot out to an early lead in front of Alley, who inherited a front row starting spot due to the absence of Dobmeier.  Alley drove under Phillips for the lead on lap five of eight and pulled away.  Landis did well to move by Phillips as well.  St. Arnold moved by Maeschen early to buck the invert and take the final transfer.  Vanderploeg rode the Smith 86 to fourth.

Heat two (started): 1. Ryan Anderson 71R (2) 2. Jackson 2 (4) 3. Zomer 1z (6) 4. Trevor Green 11AU (1) 5. Matt Moro 47 (8) 6. Rick Logan 55 (9) / 7. Ra. Anderson 81 (5) 8. Joey Moughan 2m (3) 9. Jerrel Slinkard 15s (7) 10. Dave Saffell 03 (10)

Ry. Anderson led throughout despite a lap two yellow for a spun Saffell.  Logan overcame a disappointing qualifying time to move by Moughan and Ra. Anderson after the restart for the final transfer.  Moro also did well in moving up into a transfer on the dry surface.

Heat three (started): 1. Chad Meyer 1w (1) 2. Jesse Giannetto D1 (3) 3. Brown 21 (4) 4. Kaley Gharst 44G (2) 5. Garner 40 (6) 6. Pinegar 7N (5) / 7. Chris Walraven 56 (7) 8. Brent Antill 1 (8) 9. Tony Shilling 47T (9) 10. Robert Bell 71 (10)

Meyer led flag to flag in impressive fashion.  The best racing occured for fifth as Garner rode the high side under siege from a low-riding Pinegar, who was in a team car with St. Arnold.

B main (started): 1. Maeschen (1) 2. Dobmeier (4) / 3. Antill (7) 4. Ra. Anderson (2) 5. Moughan (3) 6. Moore (10) 7. Slinkard (5) 8. Walraven (6) 9. I. Madsen (8) 10. Jones (13) 11. Bell (12) 12. Shilling (9) 13. Saffell (11)

Maeschen wired the 12 lapper despite a pair of stoppages.  On lap three, Saffell spun, as did I. Madsen on teh restart.  Shilling came to a rest on lap 10.  Antill ran ninth on the lap three restart, and fourth on lap 10.  Dobmeier was running third on the final restart and was able to shoot under Ra. Anderson for the runner-up spot on the restart.  Antill followed suit and set his sights on Dobmeier.  His efforts fell just short in an impressive run on the low side.

A main (started): 1. Jackson (1) 2. Alley (2) 3. Pinegar (3) 4. Garner (4) 5. Landis (6) 6. Giannetto (9) 7. Zomer (5) 8. Green (13) 9. St. Arnold (15) 10. Ry. Anderson (10) 11. Meyer (14) 12. Dobmeier (20) 13. Moro (17) 14. Phillips (12) 15. Vanderploeg (8) 16. Logan (18) 17. Brown (7) 18. Gharst (11) 19. Maeschen (19) 20. Jeffrey (16)

Rubber that had been laid over the course of the night took its toll and this one was nothing more than a parade.  When Jackson got the jump on Alley at the drop of the green, it was over.  As the procession filed in line, the event went non-stop until the only lapped car in the event, Maeschen, suffered a flat left rear that sent him into the wall on lap 16 of 20.  After the restart, the only question remaining was whose tires would make it.  Brown was running fifth for the distance until blowing his right rear entering turn four coming for the checkers.  The result was a 17th place finish and a loss of his points lead.  He came into the night leading by 150 and left trailing Alley by 20.  Jackson's win was his 24th at Knoxville.  Jeffrey dropped out on lap five, Gharst exited on lap seven in a streak of smoke.

360s

Heat one (started, *qualified for feature): 1. Johnny Anderson 7a (1*) 2. Dustin Lindquist 55L (5*) 3. Josh Higday 24 (7*) 4. Eric Mason B29 (2*) 5. Josh Schneiderman 49 (3) 6. Larry Ball Jr. 5J (8) 7. Mike Trent 2 (6) 8. Nate Van Haaften 3 (4)

Anderson led the 7 lapper throughout.  Lindquist move up nicely from fifth on the drying surface, as did Higday from seventh to third.  Mason recaptured fourth from Schneiderman on the last lap to gain a transfer as well.  Ball raced in his first 360 event of the year at Knoxville.

Heat two (started, *qualified for feature): 1. Dave Hall 51 (2*) 2. Stacey Alexander 00 (4*) 3. Troy Meyer 11m (5*) 4. Tyler Houseman 50 (8*) 5. Alan Zoutte 33 (3) 6. Danny Heskin 65 (7) 7. Mike Houseman Jr. Y5 (1) 8. Rod Richards 5 (6)

Houseman Jr. spun from the pole going into turn one when the green fell.  Richards spun as well and was collected in the mess.  Both retired to the pits.  Once underway, Hall led flag to flag.  Houseman used the high side to outduel Danny Heskin and wrestle away fourth in his first 360 action.  He utilized Uncle Mike's powerplant.  Mike destroyed Mike Waddell's sprinter a week ago.

Heat three (started, *qualified for feature): 1. Jake Peters 57x (2*) 2. Jeff Mitrisin 10 (3*) 3. Frankie Heimbaugh 04 (5*) 4. Nate Mosher 22N (4*) 5. John Kearney 83 (7) 6. Jon Corbin 15 (6) 7. Chris Morgan 7c (8) 8. Davey Heskin 56 (1)

Peters torched the stout field, featuring the top three in 360 points.  Mosher held his own, holding off a charging Kearney at the line.  Heimbaugh ran a strong race on the bottom and battled with Mosher for much of it.

Heat four (started, *qualified for feature): 1. Tom Lenz 8L (2*) 2. Joe Beaver 53 (3*) 3. Brett Golik 5G (1*) 4. Brett Mather 54 (6*) 5. Pete Crall 11 (7) 6. Tyler Thompson 48 (4) 7. John Anderson 4G (5)

Lenz led the distance.  Beaver and Golik provided the best battle on the raceway, with Beaver getting the best of it.

B main (started): 1. Kearney (1) 2. Crall (2) 3. Schneiderman (3) 4. Corbin (7) / 5. Trent (8) 6. Houseman Jr. (11) 7. Davey Heskin (12) 8. Thompson (6) 9. Van Haaften (13) 10. Richards (10) 11. Danny Heskin (4) 12. Zoutte (5) 13. Morgan (9) DNS - Ball, John Anderson

Kearney grabbed the early lead before a three car incident involving Morgan, Houseman Jr. and Zoutte, who got upside down, slowed the 10 lapper.  Only Houseman Jr. would continue and that was without his nosewing side panels.  Kearney led Crall, Schneiderman, Danny Heskin and Corbin.  Corbin used the restart and the bottom side to shoot under Danny Heskin for the final transfer and he was able to hold it, despite another slowdown on lap seven for a Danny Heskin spin.

A main (started): 1. Johnny Anderson (2) 2. Higday (1) 3. Beaver (9) 4. Peters (4) 5. Mitrisin (8) 6. Lindquist (6) 7. Hall (5) 8. Mather (14) 9. S. Alexander (7) 10. Kearney (17) 11. Mosher (16) 12. Heimbaugh (12) 13. Corbin (20) 14. Meyer (10) 15. Schneiderman (19) 16. Lenz (3) 17. Golik (13) 18. T. Houseman (11) 19. Mason (15) 20. Crall (18)

Johnny Anderson took the early lead before a lap two spin by Crall in the 15 lapper.  Anderson led Higday, Peters, Hall who had just passed Peters and Lenz back to green.  Two laps later, it was Higday moving around him as rubber began to form in turns one and two.  On the next circuit, Crall, Mason and Golik were involved in a mishap on the front chute.  All were done.  T. Houseman also retired after a visit to the work area.  A lap after the restart, Anderson used the rubber in turns one and two to his advantage, shooting under Higday for a lead he would not relinquish despite heavy pressure from the 24.  The rest of the event went non-stop.  Beaver was seventh on the restart, but surged forward using the rubber and shot under Peters on the final go-around for third.  Kearney and Corbin were the hard-chargers.  The win was Anderson's third this year, and fifth overall.
