Bronson Maeschen (10th car out to time) set quick time for the second time this year at 14.804. Dusty Zomer (12th car out) was second quick, followed by Calvin Landis (3rd), Skip Jackson (2nd), Brian Brown (11th), Wayne Johnson (14th), Clint Garner (20th), Brent Antill (22nd), Davey Heskin (6th) and Rager Phillips (13th). The track was a heavy one and narrow through the heats.

A three-wide try going into turn two on a narrow track was a recipe for disaster as Maeschen barrel-rolled a few times, Garner sustained heavy damage, and Moore Jr., with nowhere to go, suffered heavy front end damage. All were done. Weuve, who suffered heavy top wing damage in the fray, returned to take the green and the final transfer spot to the A, while Richert wired the five car single-file field.

Alley shot out to an early lead in the 8 lapper ahead of Shilling. On lap five a 7th running Corbin appeared to have something break in the steering and coasted into the turn two wall. He was done for the night. The restart saw Alley leading Shilling, Zomer, Brown and Antill back to green. Brown surged in the last three laps, but couldn't quite run down the leader.

Ry. Anderson led a mostly single-file, invert six-take six affair until the last corner when Gharst supplied some excitement with a winning pass.

The crews of Garner and Maeschen did well to get the front row starters ready for this 8 lapper. Garner led throughout, and Moore Jr. had a great jump at the start to capture the final tranfer.

Antill took the early lead ahead of Johnson in the 20 lapper. Zomer had a good start and was in third by lap four when Moore Jr. came to a stop in turn three. Another lap was in the books before Ry. Anderson stopped high in turn one bringing another caution. Now Antill led Zomer, who had gotten around Johnson, Jackson, Brown and Landis back to green flag racing. Zomer used the low side of the speedway to shoot under Antill and pull away for the lead on lap six. By lap nine, Antill had developed nose wing problems, and Landis brought the final slowdown of the night when he appeared to have a breakage and drift into the turn two wall. Now Zomer lead Antill, Jackson, Johnson, Alley and Brown. Alley and Brown battled fiercely with Brown performing a slide job that failed. He lost a spot (sixth to Gharst) but would regain it and pass Alley, who drifted in the middle of turn one, on the final lap. Antill would fade to seventh with the nose win damage. Zomer's win was his second of the year at Knoxville. Another fierce battle between Logan and Dobmeier for eighth went to Logan.

CJ Houseman led the first lap, but was edged by Van Haaften on the second. Van Haaften pulled away to win the 7 lapper. Golik moved up well despite a narrow track.

Higday smoked the field in a parade.

Peters dominated this one. On lap two, Dobesh was running third when he jumped the turn four inside berm and dislodged his hood enough to block his vision. He was pushed to the work area and the race resumed without him. Sather has qualified for every feature at Knoxville, and passed two cars immediately from the third row, and made a good charge to third.

Moro led flag to flag. D. Hall and Houseman Jr. put on a good battle for second. Beaver charged nicely from the tail. Mitrisin was threatening third with three to go, and Houseman Jr. shut the door on him. Mitrisin checked up so hard he jumped the cushion and lost fourth to Beaver.

J. Anderson checked out on the field in the 10 lapper. The real excitement came from Dobesh, as he charged from the tail to sixth in the non-stop event.

Golik elected for the tail and pulled off early. D. Hall led lap one, but Peters drove under him on lap two and never looked back, gaining his 10th career Knoxville win. One stoppage came on lap five and involved Mitrisin and Anderson. Mitrisin got the worst of it, as he rolled on the frontstretch. He was uninjured. Anderson repaired rear-end damage and a flat right rear. Peters led D. Hall, Higday, Sather and Moro back to green. Higday was able to dispose of D. Hall for second, and Beaver completed a nice charge into fourth by the checkers to capture hard-charger honors.
