Brooke Tatnell (8th car out to time) set the standard in time trials at 15.025 seconds on the heavy half-mile.  Wayne Johnson (1st car out) was second quick, followed by Brian Brown (11th), Calvin Landis (23rd), Seth Brahmer (4th), Bronson Maeschen (21st), Dion Hindi (7th), Lynton Jeffrey (6th), Ricky Logan (10th) and Mark Dobmeier (30th).  Five cars failed to get a time.  Dusty Zomer changed a motor before time trials, but couldn't get it fired in time.  Kaley Gharst and John Lambertz also failed to register a mark, and Greg Jones and Travis Cram scratched for the night before qualifying.

Heat one (started): 1. Skip Jackson 2 (2) 2. Dobmeier 13L (3) 3. Landis 70 (5) 4. Tatnell 2w (6) 5. Hindi 11D (4) 6. Billy Alley 55 (8) / 7. Mike Moore 69 (7) 8. Tony Shilling 47T (1) 9. Jack Potter 47 (9) DNS - Dusty Zomer 1z, Travis Cram 17G

Jackson led the 8 lap distance.  Alley was able to work forward to fifth after a rough time qualifying saw him come out for one lap at the end.  Hindi passed him when he stumbled with two to go.  Landis was able to pass Tatnell on the low side at the halfway point for third.

Heat two (started): 1. Rager Phillips 9 (1) 2. Jeffrey 12 (4) 3. Johnson 14AJ (6) 4. Davey Heskin 56 (2) 5. Brent Antill 1 (3) 6. Brahmer 13 (5) / 7. John Lambertz 12L (10) 8. Mike Deavers 72 (8) 9. Robert Bell 71 (9) 10. Gary Isom 12J (7)

Phillips led flag to flag.  Johnson moved up steadily and came a half car length short of passing Jeffrey at the finish.

Heat three (started): 1. Ryan Anderson 71R (2) 2. Brown 21 (6) 3. Jesse Hockett 75 (8) 4. Logan 10 (4) 5. Jack Dover 53 (7) 6. Bob Weuve 19 (1) / 7. Tayler Malsam 26 (3) 8. Maeschen 96 (5) 9. Kaley Gharst 3 (9) DNS - Greg Jones 3J

Anderson led the duration.  Hockett passed four cars on the first lap going above the cushion to do so.  He then got around Logan for third.  Dover did well to move from outside the invert to a transfer spot as well.

B main (started): 1. Maeschen (1) 2. Shilling (3) / 3. Zomer (10) 4. Moore 69 (4) 5. Malsam (2) 6. Deavers (6) 7. Lambertz (9) 8. Potter (7) 9. Isom (5) 10. Bell (8) DNS - Gharst, Jones, Cram

Maeschen led Shilling throughout the 12 lapper.  All eyes were on Zomer, who came into the night as the point leader.  Starting last, he had grabbed fifth by the first lap and third by the third go-around.  He spent the last nine laps trying to run down Shilling, who held the final transfer to no avail.  Shilling was smooth on the cushion and never faltered to hold the spot and seal Zomer's fate for the night.

A main (started): 1. Dobmeier (2) 2. Brown (8) 3. Tatnell (10) 4. Johnson (9) 5. Jeffrey (4) 6. Antill (1) 7. Jackson (11) 8. Hindi (5) 9. Logan (3) 10. Dover (16) 11. Maeschen (19) 12. Heskin (12) 13. Weuve (15) 14. Hockett (18) 15. Shilling (20) 16. Alley (17) 17. Brahmer (6) 18. Anderson (13) 19. Phillips (14) 20. Landis (7)

Dobmeier outdueled Antill for the early lead in the 20-lapper.  Brown surged to third by lap seven, when Landis slowed to bring out a lap seven caution.  Dobmeier led Antill, Brown, Jeffrey and Logan back to green flag racing on the restart.  Brown dove under Antill immediately for the runner-up spot, and pulled away after a brief exchange.  Dobmeier clearly had a faster car and pulled away from the rest of the pack.  Brown closed on the leader a bit as he approached lapped traffic.  Dobmeier lost a torque tube on lap 17, and the caution was brought out for his debris.  Tatnell and Johnson had come from row five to third and fourth on the restart.  Despite Brown's efforts under caution to inform the leader of his missing parts, Dobmeier stayed on point and pulled away despite loose conditions the last three laps ahead of Brown and Tatnell to record his second career Knoxville victory.  Johnson and Jeffrey exchanged fourth a couple of times the last three laps in the best top five battle.  Maeschen was the hard-charger, coming from the B to finish 11th.

J. Hall led flag to flag in the 7 lapper.  Beaver and Garner were hard-chargers moving into third and fourth respectively at the stripe.  Beaver lost a portion of his muffler and was DQed.

Heat two (started, *qualified for feature): 1. Matt Moro 2m (1*) 2. Natalie Sather 94s (2*) 3. Josh Higday 2x (3*) 4. Russ Hall 29 (4*) 5. Frankie Heimbaugh 04 (5) 6. Nate Van Haaften 3 (7) 7. Alan Zoutte 33 (6) 8. Tyler Houseman 50 (8) 9. Kevin Ingle 2K (10) 10. Trish Dover 9T (9)

Moro led the distance.  Higday tried to dive under Sather into the first turn, but the door was shut as he fell back to fourth.  He was able to work back by R. Hall to gain third and fell just short of Sather at the line.

Heat three (started, *qualified for feature): 1. Eric Jobe 23 (2*) 2. Josh Schneiderman 49 (5*) 3. Bryan Dobesh 2D (3*) 4. Brett Mather 54 (4*) 5. Randy Martin 14 (8*) 6. Pete Crall 1 (7) 7. Jarod Smith 7s (1) 8. Dan Thornburg 57T (9) 9. Don Dawson II 6D (6)

Jobe led the duration.  Schneiderman made a surge early on into the runner-up spot and looked strong.  Martin rebounded from early struggles to come just short of fourth at the finish.  Smith was making his first appearance since winning 360 Rookie of the Year honors in 2005.

Heat four (started, *qualified for feature): 1. Jeff Mitrisin 10 (2*) 2. Nate Mosher 22N (1*) 3. Ryan Roberts 18R (4*) 4. John Schulz 2 (3) 5. Mitch Runge 28 (9) 6. Tom Lenz 8L (6) 7. Mike Houseman Jr. Y2 (5) DNS - Larry Pinegar II 44 (7), Johnny Anderson 7A (8)

Mosher led the first lap and was in a solid duel with Mitrisin before a lap two stoppage for Houseman Jr.  Mitrisin grabbed the lead on the restart and never looked back.  Runge and Lenz provided some good racing action with Runge performing a slide for life in the last corner for fifth.

B main (started): 1. Heimbaugh (5) 2. Schulz (1) 3. Thompson (4) 4. Crall (7) / 5. Selvage (3) 6. Houseman Jr. (12) 7. Beaver (19) 8. Van Haaften (6) 9. Lenz (8) 10. Young (9) 11. Anderson (21) 12. CJ Houseman (14) 13. Smith (11) 14. T. Houseman (15) 15. Ingle (16) 16. Thornburg (13) 17. Zoutte (10) 18. Hunt (17) 19. Dawson (18) 20. Runge (2) 21. Dover (20) DNS - Pinegar

Houseman Jr. was black-flagged and sent to the rear on the initial try at green.  Dover pulled off.  Schulz jumped out to the early lead in the 10 lapper.  Zoutte spun while running 9th on lap four, bringing out the caution.  At the time, Schulz led Heimbaugh, Thompson, Crall and Selvage.  Houseman Jr. and Beaver had worked their way into the top ten from the rear.  Heimbaugh slid in front of Schulz for the lead when the green flag fell.  Houseman Jr. and Beaver continued forward, but couldn't climb higher then sixth and seventh in a valiant effort.

A main (started): 1. Roberts (1) 2. Garner (10) 3. Bakker (4) 4. Moro (5) 5. Higday (11) 6. Dobesh (12) 7. Mosher (2) 8. Mitrisin (7) 9. R. Hall (15) 10. J. Hall (6) 11. Sather (3) 12. Schneiderman (8) 13. Mather (16) 14. Jobe (9) 15. Thompson (19) 16. Heimbaugh (17) 17. Crall (20) 18. Schulz (18) 19. Martin (14) 20. D. Hall (13)

Roberts jumped out to the point early after narrowly beating Bakker back to the line.  The only stoppage in the 15 lapper came when Thompson tagged the wall on lap two.  He would restart, but D. Hall would exit.  On the restart, Roberts led Bakker, Mosher, J. Hall and Moro back to green flag racing.  Bakker took two slidejob attempts at the leader on the restart, but Roberts kept his momentum on the high side to sneak between the 11x and the wall each time.  Garner restarted in ninth, but made quick work of several to move into the to four.  By the time he worked by Moro and Bakker, the leader had gotten away a bit.  In lapped traffic, he pulled even with two to go, but it was to no avail as Roberts stayed smooth on the cushion to grab his first career Knoxville win.  Garner was the hard-charger moving up eight spots.
