Brandon Wimmer (4th car out to time) set quick time at 14.933 on a tacky track.  Ricky Logan (2nd car out) was second quick, followed by Calvin Landis (6th), Davey Heskin (12th), Danny Lasoski (20th), Seth Brahmer (3rd), Mark Dobmeier (21st), Billy Alley (8th), Dion Hindi (25th) and Skip Jackson (26th).  John VanDenBerg and the Jordan Brothers scratched after hot laps in their first appearance of 2008, and Dusty Zomer didn't get a time in after mechanical ills in practice.

Heat one (started): 1. Justin Henderson D1 (1) 2. Jackson 2 (3) 3. Dobmeier 13 (4) 4. Lynton Jeffrey 12 (2) 5. Wimmer 7TW (6) 6. Heskin 56 (5) 7. Ryan Anderson 71R (8) 8. Dusty Zomer 5z (9) 9. Ryan Zimmerman 7K (7)

Henderson and Jackson exchanged the lead on lap one before Henderson kept it for good in the 8-lapper.  Zimmerman spun on the white flag lap.  The track started tacky but was widening and slicking in turns one and two after a steady wind all day.  All cars transferred to the A, so the heats were about points.

Heat two (started): 1. Brian Brown 21 (1) 2. Jake Peters 57x (2) 3. Alley 22 (4) 4. Lasoski 5 (5) 5. Don Droud Jr. 47 (3) 6. Logan 10 (6) 7. Tony Shilling 47T (7) 8. Kaylene Verville 01 (8) DNS - John VanDenBerg 1

Brown led flag to flag.  Peters and Alley battled early, and Lasoski and Droud battled late, with Lasoski gaining fourth with two to go.

Heat three (started): 1. Josh Schneiderman 49 (2) 2. Travis Cram 17G (1) 3. Hindi 11D (4) 4. Landis 70 (6) 5. Brahmer 13v (5) 6. Bronson Maeschen 96 (3) 7. Mike Moore 69 (8) 8. Rager Phillips 9 (7)

Phillips stopped before a lap could be completed.  Cram had taken the initial lead, but given a restart, Schneiderman took to the high side and led wire to wire.

A main (started): 1. Alley (5) 2. Brown (15) 3. Lasoski (8) 4. Dobmeier (6) 5. Landis (10) 6. Henderson (16) 7. Peters (14) 8. Wimmer (12) 9. Ry. Anderson (22) 10. Heskin (9) 11. Moore (24) 12. Jeffrey (13) 13. Zimmerman (17) 14. Zomer (23) 15. Phillips (19) 16. Hindi (4) 17. Brahmer (7) 18. Droud Jr. (2) 19. Verville (21) 20. Cram (18) 21. Jackson (3) 22. Logan (11) 23. Maeschen (1) 24. Shilling (20) DNS - Schneiderman, VanDenBerg

Schneiderman had trouble and couldn't start.  The 25-lapper took five green flag attempts to get started.  Droud Jr. spun on the first attempt, suffering a flat left rear tire.  He replaced it and started from the tail.  On the next try, Lasoski jumped from outside row three, was given the black flag, and was sent to the tail.  The third try was not a charm as Hindi slid into Maeschen going into turn two.  Maeschen spun, collecting Shilling, who got upside down.  Both were done.  The fourth try saw Logan draw contact and get upside down in turn one.  When the green finally was put out for good, Hindi grabbed the point from outside row one.  Alley worked by Dobmeier into second, before Skip Jackson broke an axle coming down the frontstretch while battling Alley for second and flipped in turn one.  He was unhurt.  The restart saw Hindi ahead of Alley, Dobmeier, Landis and Wimmer.  Hindi rode the cushion all the way around the half-mile, while Brown and Lasoski moved up into sixth and seventh by lap 11, when Zimmerman and Droud contacted, resulting in Droud folding the front end.  The race went the next twelve laps non-stop.  Hindi had a nice lead when he entered lap traffic six laps later.  On lap nineteen, he took the low side in turns three and four to lap traffic.  Alley gained by staying on the cushion, and then slid in front to take the lead in turns one and two on lap twenty.  He too was approaching two-wide lapped traffic when a cuation came out on lap 23 for Hindi.  Hindi was running fourth when the left rear wheel broke off, ending his fine run.  Alley now led Dobmeier, a charging Lasoski who had put a hard slider on fourth running Brown and Wimmer.  Alley led the final two laps, while Brown pulled a slider for life on both Dobmeier and Lasoski to gain the second spot at the stripe.  Landis ran a steady fifth, while Henderson moved from ninth to sixth in the final two circuits.  Brown was the hard-charger and earned $3000 for second.  Alley earned $3500 for his second win of the year, and fifth career 410 feature win at Knoxville.

360s

Heat one (started, *qualified for feature): 1. Mike Houseman Jr. Y2 (2*) 2. Clint Garner 40 (6*) 3. Brett Mather 54 (10*) 4. Gregg Bakker 11x (11*) 5. RJ Johnson 71 (5*) 6. Jeff Mitrisin 10 (3*) 7. Jon Agan 4 (9) 8. Tom Lenz (7) 9. Dan Thornburg 57T (1) 10. Rod Richards 12 (8) 11. Alan Zoutte 33 (4)

Zoutte overturned in a four-wide try at turn one in the first turn.  He was done for the night and uninjured.  Garner moved up a row on the restart and took the point before a lap could be completed.  He pulled away, while Mather and Bakker were moving up through the pack from the rear.  Garner slowed in turn three on the last lap, allowing Houseman Jr. to get by him for the win.

Heat two (started, *qualified for feature): 1. Josh Higday 24 (2*) 2. Natalie Sather 94s (1*) 3. Dustin Selvage 7 (3*) 4. John Hall 7H (4*) 5. Dave Hall 51 (10*) 6. Joe Beaver 53 (6) 7. Jesse Giannetto D1 (9) 8. Rick Ideus 5 (5) 9. Pete Crall 1 (7) 10. Russ Hall 29 (8)

Sather jumped out to an early lead in the 7-lapper.  Higday made a bid for the point on lap four, but Sather slammed the door on him by taking the low line in turn three.  Higday came back and gained the point on lap five, with the two almost making contact.  Sather held off Selvage for second.  D. Hall was the mover from 10th to 5th.

Heat three (started, *qualified for feature): 1. Matt Moro 2m (1*) 2. Nate Van Haaften 3 (2*) 3. Ryan Roberts 18 (4*) 4. Randy Martin 14 (8*) 5. Nate Mosher 22N (3*) 6. Danny Heskin 6 (6) 7. Tyler Thompson 48 (7) 8. Ricky Montgomery 9m (9) 9. Cody Peterson 16P (5) DNS - CJ Houseman Y5 (10)

Moro led the duration of a mostly single-file affair, save Martin's early run from 8th to 4th.

B main (started): 1. Agan (1) 2. Giannetto (3) 3. Beaver (2) 4. Ideus (8) / 5. Lenz (7) 6. Thompson (5) 7. Heskin (4) 8. Crall (10) 9. Montgomery (6) 10. Thornburg (9) 11. Richards (12) 12. Petersen (11) DNS - R. Hall, Zoutte, CJ Houseman

Montgomery jumped the initial start and was sent to the back.  Thornburg spun on the next try.  Agan led when the 10-lapper finally got underway.  Ideus moved by Heskin for the final transfer and after a lap eight caution for a stopped Petersen, Agan led Giannetto, Beaver and Ideus.  Those four would be your transfers.

A main (started): 1. Selvage (1) 2. Garner (11) 3. Roberts (2) 4. Martin (4) 5. Giannetto (18) 6. D. Hall (3) 7. Sather (6) 8. Mather (12) 9. Higday (8) 10. Agan (17) 11. Moro (7) 12. Beaver (19) 13. Mitrisin (16) 14. Ideus (20) 15. Johnson (14) 16. Van Haaften (5) 17. Bakker (9) 18. J. Hall (13) 19. Houseman Jr. (10) 20. Mosher (15)

The initial start was a mess.  Bakker got turned around, setting off a chain reaction that collected Houseman Jr. and Mosher, who got upside down.  Also involved were Moro, Higday, Agan and Mitrisin.  All would restart but Hosueman Jr. and Mosher.  Fourteen of 20 laps were laid down before another caution would fly.  Selvage was in control, as Garner moved his way up to third behind Roberts.  Van Haaften went up in smoke on lap 14 slowing things.  Selvage led Roberts, Garner, Martin, D. Hall and Giannetto (from 18th) back to green.  Just two laps later, Beaver stopped, but the lead six hadn't changed.  Four more laps of green flag racing saw Selvage hold his advantage, Garner sliding by Roberts for second, and Giannetto completing hard-charger honors by moving into the top five.  The win was Selvage's second career triumph and paid him $1500.
