(Bill W) June 26, 2017 – After Donny Schatz racked up his third win in Midwest Thunder Sprints presented by www.OpenWheel101.com at I-94 Speedway near Sauk Rapids, Minnesota, three new winners emerged. On Friday, Shane Stewart won the World of Outlaws visit to West Liberty Raceway in Iowa. At Jackson Motorplex in Minnesota, “Lady Lightning” Paige Polyak was victorious. On Saturday, Danny Lasoski won his 112th career feature at the Knoxville Raceway.
The schedule has seen fourteen different winners in 22 events. As the Midwest Thunder Sprints enter July, Kerry Madsen has the lead, followed by Ian Madsen, Brian Brown, Brad Sweet and Donny Schatz. David Gravel, Shane Stewart, Brooke Tatnell, Daryn Pittman and Austin McCarl complete the top ten.
Four point eligible races with the Midwest Thunder Sprint Cars this week include Tuesday at The Dirt Oval at Route 66 in Joliet, Illinois with the WoO, Thursday at Deer Creek Speedway near Spring Valley, Minnesota with the WoO, Friday at Jackson Motorplex in Minnesota and Saturday at Knoxville Raceway in Iowa.
