22 cars

The evening started with Jesse's father Jack emphasizing it was not a night for mourning, but a night for racing and rememberance. That got the crowd on its feet. With several fund raisers for the Hockett family going on around the country, among the totals from Sunday night at Double X Speedway were a donation of $3,530 from Gill Signs in Sedalia from decal sales, and $2,046 from helmet passing in the stands.

Heat one (started): 1. Eric Todd 21T (1) 2. Rusty Potter 3P (7) 3. Jon Corbin 9m (3) 4. Evan Martin 4 (8) 5. Brad Graham 04 (4) 6. Brad Yoder 12x (5) 7. Kyle Bellm 14K (6) 8. Taylor Walton 93 (2)

Todd led the 8-lapper throughout and pulled away at the end. The heat got off to a rough start, when Walton spun in turn one and collected Bellm. Both were done for the heat.
Heat two (started): 1. Tyler Blank 75 (2) 2. Adam Jones 1A (1) 3. Josh Fisher 86 (3) 4. Cody Baker 38 (6) 5. Curtis Boyer 72 (5) 6. Haley Arnold 165 (7) 7. J Kinder 88 (4)
Blank led the distance in a mostly single-file affair. Kinder did a 360 spin at the mid-way point and kept it going.

Heat three (started): 1. Jonathan Cornell 28 (1) 2. Austin Alumbaugh 33 (2) 3. Curtis Evans 1P (7) 4. Dakota Carroll 11c (3) 5. Tony Crank 9c (4) 6. Randy Martin 77 (6) 7. Todd McVay 89 (5)

The Jesse Hockett Racing #77 was piloted by Randy Martin, and got a standing ovation every time it hit the speedway. The standing room only crowd saw the majority sporting Hockett t-shirts. Cornell led the heat flag to flag. Evans used an early move to surge up to third. Martin seemed stuck behind Carroll and Crank on a track that was becoming difficult to pass on, and couldn't quite clear them.

A main (started): 1. Jones (2) 2. Todd (1) 3. Alumbaugh (6) 4. Graham (13) 5. E. Martin (10) 6. Fisher (8) 7. R. Martin (18) 8. McVay (21) 9. Cornell (5) 10. Kinder (20) 11. Crank (15) 12. Evans (9) 13. Baker (11) 14. Potter (4) 15. Arnold (17) 16. Blank (3) 17. Yoder (16) 18. Bellm (19) 19. Walton (22) 20. Boyer (14) 21. Corbin (7) 22. Carroll (12)

Carroll and Kinder were invoved in an incident before a lap could be completed that eliminated Carroll with a broken front end. Jones picked up the early lead in the 25-lapper, but on lap two, Corbin came to a stop and exited. The restart saw Jones ahead of Cornell, Blank, Potter and Todd. Cornell shot under Jones into the lead on the restart and on lap five, Boyer came to a stop bringing another caution. Alumbaugh had slipped past Todd to get into the top five. Four more laps were in the books, when R. Martin who had moved the #77 up to ninth, spun. Cornell led Jones, Blank, Alumbaugh and Potter back to green on that restart. Blank moved into second on the restart, closing on the leader. On lap 11, contact from another car sent Bellm into a spin that collected Walton and eliminated both. It was time for a fuel stop. After the restart, Blank snuck by Cornell on lap 12 for the lead. On lap 15, Potter tipped over in turn three, but was set back on all fours, and he continued after a restart that saw Blank leading Jones, Cornell, Alumbaugh and Evans. On lap 21, it was disaster for the leader, as he came to a stop in turn three with Yoder. Both were done. Jones assumed the lead ahead of Alumbaugh, Evans, Todd and Graham. Todd shot up to the runner-up position in the last four laps, but Jones was gone for his first career WOW win. R. Martin came back from the rear to 7th, while McVay was the official hard-charger.
