30 cars
Heat one (started, *qualified for feature): 1. Brad Loyet o5 (2*) 2. Bronson Maeschen 1J (4*) 3. Jeff Osborn 0 (1*) 4. Austin Alumbaugh 33 (3) 5. Kyle Bellm 86 (7) 6. Josh Stephens 09 (5) 7. Chad Corken 11 (6) DNS – Mark Shirshekan 3
Gear issues sidelined Shirshekan. Loyet dominated the 10-lapper earning $500 given to all heat winners from local sponsors. Maeschen got by Alumbaugh with a close shave slidejob and then worked by Osborn to earn a redraw spot.
Heat two (started, *qualified for feature): 1. Jordan Boston 4 (1*) 2. Zach Clark 3z (2*) 3. Don Droud Jr. 2 (3*) 4. Randy Hibbs 2A (5*) 5. Jonathan Cornell 28 (7) 6. Matthew Fox 23F (4) 7. Gage Dorr 17 (6) 8. Mike Trent 10 (8)
Boston led every lap and pulled away.
Heat three (started, qualified for feature): 1. Bryan Gossel 6G (1*) 2. Cody Baker 9m (3*) 3. Wayne Johnson 38 (6*) 4. Miranda Arnold 5m (2) 5. Randy Martin 14 (4) 6. Jay Russell 76 (7) 7. Haley Arnold 165 (5)
Gossel led every lap holding off the challenges of Baker. Johnson did well to move up to third.
Heat four (started): 1. Jack Dover 53 (1*) 2. Danny Lasoski 33L (2*) 3. Trevor Grossenbacher 35 (3*) 4. Brian Brown 21 (5*) 5. JR Topper 92J (7) 6. Ty Williams 1 (6) 7. Dakota Carroll 11c (4)
In the stoutest heat of the night, it took three starts to get things going. First, a false start, then Brian Brown got over the cushion and almost got upside down. He restarted at the tail and worked to fourth. On the third try, Dover got the jump on Lasoski and was able to hold him off by three car lengths.
B main (started): 1. Cornell (2) 2. Bellm (1) 3. M. Arnold (5) 4. Alumbaugh (4) 5. Topper (3) 6. Martin (6) / 7. Russell (7) 8. Shirshekan (16) 9. Stephens (9) 10. Williams (8) 11. Dorr (12) 12. Fox (10) 13. H. Arnold (13) 14. Corken (11) 15. Trent (15) 16. Carroll (14)
Bellm and Cornell contacted after the green fell, but avoided disaster on the frontstretch. Cornell continued with his front win askew and rode that way in the non-stop 12-lapper. With four laps to go, the front wing came loose and hung pinned against the top wing, partially blocking vision. Bellm drew close, but settled for second. M. Arnold was impressive, shooting by a pair of cars in the final laps to nail down third.
A main (started): 1. Johnson (2) 2. Dover (4) 3. Maeschen (6) 4. Gossel (3) 5. Droud (10) 6. Lasoski (9) 7. Loyet (8) 8. Baker (1) 9. Cornell (15) 10. Bellm (16) 11. M. Arnold (17) 12. Martin (20) 13. Clark (5) 14. Brown (13) 15. Osborn (14) 16. Grossenbacher (11) 17. Alumbaugh (18) 18. Hibbs (12) 19. Topper (19) 20. Boston (7)
Baker led lap one, before Johnson shot the middle groove to get under him and lead lap two of 25. The track had built a ledge on each end, but most found the middle to low grooves to their liking. With four laps in the books, Boston came to a stop with a broken front end. The restart saw Johnson ahead of Baker, Dover, Gossel and Maeschen. Dover was all over Baker for second and took the spot on lap eight before trying to close in on the leader, Johnson in heavy traffic. Behind them, Maeschen was making progress, getting by Gossel and then Clark before another yellow with 16 laps in. Hibbs stopped on the high side of the backstretch. Alumbaugh, who was running tenth, retired with a flat left rear as well. Johnson restarted with nine laps to go with the lapped car of Bellm between he and Dover. Maeschen was third ahead of Baker and Gossel. Johnson shot out to a good lead again, but Dover closed in the final two laps. When Johnson made contact with the lapped car of M. Arnold, things got dicey. The veteran was able to regain control and take his second career Bud Shootout (his first was in a 410 driving the Beaver Drill & Tool #12x).
