The track was wet and tacky for the 8-lap heat races. The running order after a lap was usually the way they would finish on the big half-mile. Two sets of heats were run, with the second set seeing drivers start in an inverted spot from their first one. The top sixteen in passing points in the two sets locked into the A, with the top ten qualifying for the revenge draw determining their starting spot in the dash. K. Swindell did not start this one due to a broken rear-end in hot laps.

Bakker pressured Ingle late for second but fell short. Cressman dropped out early with engine problems and was a scratch for the night.

Sammy exited with a flat front left tire on lap three. Jarrod S. had some oil spewage and shut it down for the night in his first ever 410 start. Zomer led throughout.

K. Swindell was brought back as a promoter's option. He was scored by position, but not given passing points.

Ossenfort led early in the 12-lapper. Johnson flipped hard after getting in the marbles in one and two, but was unhurt with a lap in the books. Ballenger took the lead on the double-file restart, and held it to the checkers. Schneiderman had to work hard to get by Whitney and after several laps of sizing him up, took the last transfer on lap nine.

Winters underwent an engine change after winning his heat and did not start the 10-lapper. Meyer led the distance to earn the pole starting spot in the feature and a $500 bonus. He had been handed the pole by Bakker in the revenge draw process.

After the initial start was called back, Forler got over the berm in turn two and came to a stop. Bakker pulled in to tighten a nozzle line. Meyer led the 25-lapper early when the green finally came out. Lasoski was moving from row six into the top five with two in the books. Winters was also flying and tried to pull alongside Lasoski in turn four. He lost control and tagged Lasoski's right rear from behind, sending him into the turn four wall and a hard crash. He was uninjured. Meyer took the inside on a double-wide restart, that saw Heskin second, followed by Zomer, Dobmeier, Lasoski and Tatnell. One lap later, the final caution of the race came out for a stopped Brown who lost his brakes and retired. The track was widening, and Lasoski and S. Swindell were making moves from the back. Meyer continued to lead out front with Heskin in tow. Tatnell moved by Lasoski before the caution on lap three, and then moved by Dobmeier into the top three several laps later. Lasoski, had been pressuring him for the spot. Meyer was in traffic, when Tatnell and Heskin were challenging him. On lap 18, Tatnell made his winning move to earn the $12,000 top prize (along with a 410 Double Barrel Shotgun). S. Swindell was coming now, and took care of Dobmeier, Heskin, Meyer and then Lasoski to move into second. He couldn't seriously threaten Tatnell, who won over S. Swindell, Lasoski, who made a last lap pass for third, Heskin and Meyer.

C. Friedrichsen led the 20-lapper early with Boles in tow. The two separated themselves from Anderson and B. Hildreth early on. Anderson lost a front end on the backstretch and retired early. Boles pounced for the lead on lap nine and never looked back. B. Friedrichsen picked his way forward and made a late challenge of his brother for second, but he settled for third.
