Morgan led the 8-lap distance from green to checker despite a dogging Dover. Bellm had a power steering line problem spray fluid on him. He brought caution after three laps were in the boo, and and exited.

Swindell got the jump on Herrera and led the distance. Cornell developed a fire after the checkers when a fuel line came loose. He was uninjured, but the flames actually burnt through his belts, requiring new ones.

After coming for the green, Petersen took a wild ride down the frontstretch. He was knocked out for around three minutes, but was alert when taken to the hospital for a check-up. Topper took the early advantage. Loyet worked by Hibbs for second, and then passed Topper at the flag stand to take the lead when completing lap six.

Russell led the distance. Both Johnson and Alley bicycled in turn two, and appeared to be headed upside down. Alley came to a stop on lap five, but restarted.

Bruce led the 12-lap distance on a track that showed signs of widening slowly. Wolfe was the mover from 8th to 4th.

Hibbs elected to start at the rear for the 35-lapper. Wood jumped out to a lead from the pole ahead of Dover. Dover's bid for a win came short with a bicycle in two that saw him flatten his left rear tire. He would restart at the tail. Wood led Herrera, Morgan, Swindell and Topper back to green flag racing. Herrera took advantage of the restart, and jetted into a lead he would never relinquish. The only other slowdown came with six laps in the books, when Johnson stopped after smacking the frontstretch wall. After visiting the work area, he returned. Herrera went on to destroy the field, lapping all but Morgan. Wolfe was the hard-charger, overcoming a tough stout heat where he rode around in the back.
