Drivers were split into two groups for qualifying. Danny Sams III (9th car out to time) set quick time overall at 13.288 seconds. David Gravel (3rd car out) was second quick, followed by Carson Macedo (16th), Brian Brown (12th) and Gio Scelzi (6th). Kyle Larson (12th car out to time) was quickest in the second group, followed by Brad Sweet (15th), Ryan Timms (8th), Christopher Bell (18th) and Jacob Allen (3rd). Donny Schatz had motor issues in hot laps and received one lap at the end of time trials. Brock Zearfoss also had issues and did not get a time in, but would redeem himself over the course of the night.

8-lap heats took the top five in the feature, and the top two to the Dash. Ca. Macedo led the distance. Stutts came to a stop on lap two. Sams was second early, followed by Haudenschild, who moved up quickly on the first lap from row three, Balog and Scelzi. On the restart for Stutts, Peck jumped from seventh to grab the final transfer spot.

Brown got the jump on Gravel and led flag to flag in a mostly single-file affair.

Larson led the distance in another parade on the fast oval. Williamson won a lap one duel with Windom for the final transfer.

Heat four (started): 1. 69K-Christopher Bell[2]; 2. 49-Brad Sweet[1]; 3. 39M-Anthony Macri[3]; 4. 7BC-Tyler Courtney[5]; 5. 99-Skylar Gee[8] / 6. 3Z-Brock Zearfoss[12]; 7. 2C-Cole Macedo[9]; 8. 6- Zach Hampton[7]; 9. 32-Bryce Lucius[6]; 10. 83-Michael Kofoid[4]; 11. 34-Sterling Cling[10]; 12. 0-Glenn Styres[11]

Bell led early over Sweet, Kofoid, Macri and Courtney. Styres slowed with two to go, bringing caution. Macri shot by Kofoid for third on the restart. One more lap was in the books, when Cling hit the turn four wall hard. The tow took so long, an open red was called. Bell led Sweet, Macri, Kofoid and Courtney back to the green, white, checker finish that made it 9 laps. Kofoid blew his right rear tire in turn one, nearly collecting Courtney, who got by unscathed. Gee held off a charging Zearfoss (from the back) for the final transfer.

The 10-lapper took the top two to the B. Key led throughout. C. Martin held second early, but Schuerenberg came from the fourth row to slide in front of him in turn two on lap six to take the final transfer.

The 6-lapper set up the starting spots for the first four rows of the feature. Not much movement in this one, other that Sweet moving up a couple of spots at the start.

The 12-lapper took the top four to the A. Scelzi led the distance, ahead of Kofoid, Crouch and Zearfoss, who shot by Windom on the first lap to take the final transfer and salvage his night. Windom, Schatz and Hampton would take provisionals for the feature.

Larson led the 25-lapper early over Sams, Bell, Sweet and Ca. Macedo. Larson was into lapped traffic by lap 10. Sams got out of his line a bit, and Bell passed him for second on lap 13. Sweet followed into third. Gravel was running sixth, but used a move in traffic on lap 14 to surge up to fourth behind Sweet. Racing was getting good and things getting really tight in the top five before Macri got a flat and got into the turn four wall with six to go. Windom retired with no brakes. The top four remained unchanged with Larson leading Bell, Gravel and Sweet to the finish. Timms came on late, and had passed Ca .Macedo before the Macri caution. He repeated that on the last lap to gain a top five. Schuchart gained 11 positions as the hard-charger. It was Larson’s first ever win at Volusia.
