Drivers qualified in four heat groups. The 4/10-mile oval got dry quickly under the afternoon sun, and times reflected that. Freddie Rahmer set quick time in the first group at 15.468 seconds, Logan Wagner set the standard in group two at 15.912, Brent Marks was quickest in the third group at 16.466, and Jacob Allen set quick time in the fourth group at 16.759. Aidan Borden and Logan Rumsey did not get times in.
Heat one (started): 1. 6K-Dylan Norris[1]; 2. 8-Freddie Rahmer[4]; 3. 10X-Ryan Smith[6]; 4. 5-Tyler Ross[7]; 5. 92-Troy Wagaman Jr[3] / 6. 75-Cameron Smith[5]; 7. 27S-Robbie Kendall[9]; 8. 99M-Kyle Moody[2]; 9. 9-Gordon Senft III[10]; 10. 11Z-Zach Newlin[8]
10-lap heats took the top five to the feature. Heat winners and the quickest qualifiers (starting fourth) who finished in the top five made the feature redraw. Norris led the distance in Dennis Gainey’s car, followed by F. Rahmer. R. Smith took third from Moody on lap two, and then Wagaman, donning the #92 in honor of Kevin Gobrecht followed him into fourth on lap three. Moody slowed and then stopped to bring caution on lap four. Ross inherited the fifth transfer spot, and then took fourth on the restart.
Heat two (started): 1. 69K-Logan Wagner[4]; 2. 28F-Davie Franek[2]; 3. 75E-Kenny Edkin[6]; 4. 91-Kyle Reinhardt[3]; 5. 23-Justin Whittall[5] / 6. 67-JJ Loss[7]; 7. 7-Aidan Borden[9]; 8. 12-Brent Shearer[1]; 9. 38S-Brett Strickler[8]
Franek led Reinhardt, Shearer, Wagner and Edkin early. Reinhardt did a 360 spin a lap in, bringing the caution. Borden and Strickler exited and Shearer broke his rear axle on the restart. Reinhardt restarted sixth and took the final transfer from Loss. Wagner passed Franek for the lead low in four on lap three. Reinhardt took fourth from Whittall on lap nine.
Heat three (started): 1. 48-Danny Dietrich[3]; 2. 19-Brent Marks[4]; 3. 5W-Lucas Wolfe[6]; 4. 19R-Mark Smith[5]; 5. 88L-Lance Dewease[2] / 6. 35S-Steve Owings[7]; 7. 11-Mike Thompson[8]; 8. 41-Logan Rumsey[9]; 9. 55-Domenic Melair[1]
Melair led lap one, before Dietrich got by him on lap two. Marks was third, ahead of Wolfe, who got by Dewease for fourth on lap two. Melair’s great run came to an end on lap four when he flipped in turn two. M. Smith inherited the last transfer and then took fourth on the restart.
Heat four (started): 1. 35-Austin Bishop[2]; 2. 1A-Jacob Allen[4]; 3. 2D-Chase Dietz[3]; 4. 39-Kody Hartlaub[6]; 5. 88-Brandon Rahmer[5] / 6. 24T-TJ Greve[8]; 7. 00K-Kyle Spence[7]; 8. 6-Cole Knopp[9]; 9. 39M-Anthony Macri[1]; DNS - 14-Anthony Foscone Jr
Macri led early over Bishop, Allen, Dietz and Harlaub. Macri tagged the wall hard and wrecked on lap two. Bishop led the rest of the way. Greve inherited the final transfer, but B. Rahmer got by him on the restart.
B main (started): 1. 75-Cameron Smith[1]; 2. 67-JJ Loss[2]; 3. 00K-Kyle Spence[7]; 4. 55-Domenic Melair[14] / 5. 41-Logan Rumsey[13]; 6. 39M-Anthony Macri[15]; 7. 12-Brent Shearer[12]; 8. 99M-Kyle Moody[8]; 9. 24T-TJ Greve[4]; 10. 7-Aidan Borden[11]; 11. 27S-Robbie Kendall[5]; 12. 6-Cole Knopp[9]; 13. 11Z-Zach Newlin[16]; 14. 35S-Steve Owings[6]; 15. 11-Mike Thompson[3]; 16. 9-Gordon Senft III[10]; DNS - 38S-Brett Strickler; 14-Anthony Foscone Jr
The 12-lapper took the top four to the feature. Thompson caught the infield fence/tire at the start, snapped sideways and collected Owings, Senft and Moody. Only Moody would restart. Kendall caught the incident as well, but kept going with top wing damage and no nose wing. It would bite him later. C. Smith led the distance over Loss. Kendall was third early, with Greeve running fourth. Spence gained the final transfer from Greve on lap four, and Melair, who started 14th gained fifth. Newlin got an infield tire and spun on lap six. Spencd took third from Kendall, who was now fading, on the restart. On lap eight, Melair completed his trip from the back of the pack to gain the final transfer. Macri’s run ended two spots short after starting at the tail.
A main (started): 1. 48-Danny Dietrich[5]; 2. 19-Brent Marks[4]; 3. 8-Freddie Rahmer[6]; 4. 1A-Jacob Allen[1]; 5. 23-Justin Whittall[18]; 6. 69K-Logan Wagner[7]; 7. 35-Austin Bishop[8]; 8. 2D-Chase Dietz[13]; 9. 5-Tyler Ross[14]; 10. 10X-Ryan Smith[10]; 11. 19R-Mark Smith[15]; 12. 88-Brandon Rahmer[20]; 13. 92-Troy Wagaman Jr[17]; 14. 55-Domenic Melair[24]; 15. 00K-Kyle Spence[23]; 16. 75E-Kenny Edkin[11]; 17. 6K-Dylan Norris[2]; 18. 5W-Lucas Wolfe[12]; 19. 75-Cameron Smith[21]; 20. 67-JJ Loss[22]; 21. 91-Kyle Reinhardt[3]; 22. 88L-Lance Dewease[19]; 23. 39-Kody Hartlaub[16]; 24. 28F-Davie Franek[9]
A track rework did the trick for the 30-lapper. Allen jumped out to the early lead over Marks, Norris, F. Rahmer and Dietrich. F. Rahmer took third from Norris on lap two, while Dietrich moved into fourth. Allen was already in lapped traffic by the sixth circuit and things got tight. Dietrich shot by F. Rahmer for third on la seven. Marks and Allen went back and forth, before Marks took the lead on lap eight. Reinhardt entered the top five on lap ten. Dietrich pulled a slider on Allen to take second on lap 12. Bishop had a good run going, and entered the top five on lap 16. Allen banged the wall and slowed a bit at the same time. F. Rahmer passed him for third on lap 17. The only caution of the race came on lap 18 when Reinhardt got into the turn four wall and collected Norris. Dietz also made contact, but kept it going, and Whittall did a 360, but kept it going as well. Marks led Dietrich, F. Rahmer, Allen and Bishop back to green. As Marks went high in turn one, Dietrich put a slider on him and took the point. Whittall entered the top five, by getting by Bishop on lap 25. The top three were tight in the late going as traffic became a factor again. Marks and Dietrich exchanged sliders, with Marks having the advantage at the white flag. He entered turns one and two on the high side, while Dietrich tried another slide. In his words, he “parked it” in turn two, blocking Marks attempt to dive back under him. Marks tagged the back of him, but didn’t spin him. Dietrich held the lead and cashed in $10,000 in an exciting finish. F. Rahmer was a close third. Whittall was the hard-charger.
