Garet Williamson (7th car out to time) set a new track record on the 3/8-mile oval at 13.096 seconds. The heavy surface saw the old track record holder, Aaron Reutzel (21st car out) second quick, followed by Tim Estenson (14th), Blake Hahn (11th), Chase Randall (9th), Chris Martin (2nd), Hunter Schuerenberg (12th), Roger Crockett (4th), Joe B. Miller (3rd) and Austin McCarl (18th).
Heat one (started, *qualified for feature): 1. A. McCarl 88 (1*) 2. Hahn 52 (3*) 3. Schuerenberg 19 (2*) 4. Williamson 23 (4*) 5. Noah Gass 20G (7*) 6. Gunner Ramey 21 (6) 7. Sawyer Phillips 3P (5) 8. Xavier Doney 74 (8) 9. Jonathan Hughes 67 (9)
8-lap heats transferred the top 16 in combined qualifying and passing points to the main. A. McCarl led the distance on a fast track that saw little passing. Williamson made a late move on Schuerenberg, but came up short.
Heat two (started, *qualified for feature): 1. Paul Nienhiser 50 (1*) 2. Reutzel 87 (4*) 3. Randall 2KS (3*) 4. Crockett 12x (2*) 5. Ayrton Gennetten 3 (5*) 6. Cam Martin 4 (8*) 7. Tyler Lee 7 (7) 8. Chase Richards 4x (9) 9. Carson McCarl 27 (6)
C. McCarl’s car got tight in one and two on the start, did a couple wheelies and was tagged by cars trying to get by him. He flipped and was done for the night, but not injured. Nienhiser led wire to wire over Reutzel.
Heat three (started, *qualified for feature): 1. Will Armitage 7A (1*) 2. Miller 51B (2*) 3. Estenson 14T (4*) 4. Ch. Martin 44 (3*) 5. Jace Park 45x (5*) 6. Steven Russell JR1 (7) 7. Cole Mincer 15JR (6) 8. McCain Richards 31 (8) DNS – Tasker Phillips 7TAZ
Phillips’ engine sounded sour all night and he would not start. Armitage led the distance. Estenson used the low side of four to take third from Ch. Maritn on lap two.
B main (started): 1. Ramey (2) 2. S. Phillips (3) 3. Russell (1) 4. Lee (4) 5. Doney (7) 6. T. Phillips (9) / 7. Mincer (5) 8. C. Richards (6) 9. M. Richards (8) DNS – C. McCarl, Hughes
The 12-lapper transferred the top six to the feature. Ramey led Russell and S. Phillips early. S. Phillips shot by Russell for second on lap four. T. Phillips worked from the tail to the sixth and last transfer spot by lap five. Ramey and S. Phillips were in a class of their own out front.
A main (started): 1. Reutzel (1) 2. A. McCarl (6) 3. Williamson (4) 4. Randall (5) 5. Hahn (2) 6. Ramey (17) 7. Nienhiser (9) 8. Park (15) 9. Miller (7) 10. Ch. Martin (10) 11. Gennetten (14) 12. S. Phillips (18) 13. Doney (21) 14. Estenson (3) 15. Ca. Martin (16) 16. Crockett (12) 17. Lee (20) 18. Gass (13) 19. Russell (19) 20. Schuerenberg (8) 21. Armitage (11) 22. T. Phillips (22)
The 30-lapper started rough. Gennetten visited the work area and started at the tail. Once green, an incident saw Armitage get sideways, collecting Crockett, who got upside down, Ca. Martin, and T. Phillips, who also flipped. Armitage and T. Phillips were done, but not injured. Crockett and Ca. Martin made repairs and restarted. Once green, Reutzel, led Hahn and Williamson. On lap two, Randall made a move to go from fifth to third, but Williamson got back by him a lap later. A. McCarl entered the top five on lap four before Crockett came to a stop, bringing the last caution. Reutzel chose the inside line for the restart, ahead of Hahn, Williamson, Randall, A. McCarl and Estenson. A. McCarl had a great start, shooting up to third, while Nienhiser came from nowhere into fourth. On lap six, Nienhiser shot by McCarl for third. Reutzel was lapping cars by the tenth circuit. At the halfway point, Nienhiser spun in the middle of the track and McCarl got back by for third. On lap 16, both McCarl and Nienhiser shot by Hahn into second and third. Williamson followed into fourth a lap later. Reutzel had almost a half lap lead on McCarl with ten to go, and maintained that distance. Third through sixth place was very close racing the last half. Williamson got by Nienhiser for third on lap 29, and Randall and Hahn moved into fourth and fifth on the last lap as Nienhiser slowed. Ramey completed the top six with a hard-charger run from the B main.
