Cars qualified in two groups. Buddy Kofoid (17th car out to time) set quick time with the first group and overall at 10.720 seconds on the quarter-mile. Ryan Timms (19th car out) was second quick, followed by Brendan Mullen (7th), Jason Sanders (14th) and Cory Eliason (6th). Rico Abreu (6th car out to time in his group) led the second flight at 10.857 seconds. Aaron Reutzel (8th car out) was second quick, followed by Robbie Price (17th), Kerry Madsen (13th) and Scott Bogucki (22nd).

Heats were eight laps, took the top two to the Dash and the top five to the feature. The track was pretty narrow early, and most of the heats were single-file. Larson worked by Swanson on lap two for the final transfer.

The 10-lapper took the top four to the B. I. Madsen led wire to wire. Macri put a slider on Gass in turn four for second on lap two as the track began to widen.

Price led the distance over Kofoid. Mullen cruised by Reutzel on the low side on lap three for third.

The 12-lapper sent the top four to the back of the A. Macedo paced the distance ahead of Tatnell. Kaeding took third from Swanson on lap two. Day slid Swanson in turn two to take the fourth and final transfer with four to go. Bacon surged and closed on Day late, but came up a spot short.

The 35-lapper had a rough start with several cars eliminated in the first couple of laps. One lap in, and incident involving Randall, Bogucki, Peck and Kahne, who tipped over, brought out the red. Only Kahne continued after extensive work in the work area. Eliason also suffered damage and made repairs. Price led Kofoid, Reutzel, Mullen and Abreu back to green, but it wouldn’t last. Simultaneous accidents brought another red. Timms spun in turn one, collecting Goodno, who got upside down, and Macedo. Goodno would be done, and Timms would continue after the work area. At the same time, Abreu got into the left rear of Mullen, shooting him into the turn two concrete wall and upside down. Hafertepe could not avoid and hit him hard. They were both done. The eliminated cars saw Larson restart eighth, after a start in row nine. Abreu shot into third on the green but a lap later, Timms hit the turn two wall and flipped ending his night. No one was injured in the accidents. On lap seven, K. Madsen took fourth from Reutzel. A huge battle emerged for second, with Abreu and Kofoid exchanging the spot four times, with Rico cinching it on lap 23. Price continued setting a good pace, and entered traffic on lap 12. With ten laps to go, his lead was gone, when Day went up in smoke. Price led Abreu, Kofoid, Madsen and Reutzel back to green. Abreu used the restart to slide by Price in turn two and lead the rest of the way to earn $23,023. Kofoid snatched second with five to go.
