The 25-lapper paid $15,000 to the winner.  It was all Sweet early over Schuchart, Abreu, Macedo and Marks.  Peck had moved up nicely from 12th to sixth by lap five.  Sweet was into lappers on the eighth circuit.  Peck pass Marks for fifth on lap 12, but Marks passed him back a lap later in a good battle.  Up front, Sweet got by some lappers, but Schuchart was having trouble getting by Stutts, a provisional.  Haudenschild was another car moving forward, passing Peck for sixth on lap 18.  He moved by Marks for fifth with two to go.  Up front, Sweet appeared to be cruising, but Schuchart started gaining with two to go.  In three and four on the last lap, Schuchart rode the far high side while Sweet used the bottom groove.  Schuchart came down from the top of turn four to a drag race to the finish, making the winning pass by .078 seconds!
