Riley Kreisel attempted triple duty with outlaw micros also on the card. In his micro heat, he took a wicked ride in turn three and into the wall. He was briefly unconscious, but got out of his car under his own power. He was done for the night, however.

Sarff led the 30-lapper early over Felker and Denney. Adler and Ede were involved in a tangle one lap in. Sarff chose the inside with the choose cone over Felker, Denney, Gile and Doney. Denney zipped into second. On lap three, Davis used the low side to go from fifth to third. Felker took back second from Denney, with Davis getting over the inside of the turn four berm, losing several spots by the time Bellman came to a stop on lap six. Doney moved by Denney for third on the restart, as the two battled back and forth, exchanging the spot four times. Denney would hold on and began making the top of one and two work, as he closed in on Felker. Using the high side of one and two, and the low side of three and four, he took second at the halfway point. A battle for the lead ensued, but that was put to a halt when Roark stopped in turn four. Denney used the restart to get by Sarff for the lead. With ten to go a four-car tangle involving Roark, Turner, Thompson and Williams slowed things for the final time. Denney took off when the green fell again, but Sarff wasn’t going away. With three to go, he used the low side of four to retake the lead. Denney was on the cushion, and roared back around to lead with two to go. Sarff slid in front of him again in turn two on the white flag lap. Denney made a last charge on the last lap, but busted the turn four cushion in an exciting ending. Andreotti was the hard-charger.
