Donny Schatz (9th car out to time) set quick time at 15.190 seconds in the first of two groups.  Schatz’s second lap saw a power outage in turns three and four, but he finished it out.  Gio Scelzi (5th car out) was second quick, followed by David Gravel (15th), Anthony Macri (18th), Tony Stewart (13th), James McFadden (21st), Brian Brown (17th), Mike Wagner (3rd), Daryn Pittman (16th) and TJ Stutts (19th).  The second group was paced by Sheldon Haudenschild’s (7th car out) lap of 15.349 seconds.  Danny Dietrich (12th), Kyle Larson (10th), Brock Zearfoss (8th), Kerry Madsen (16th), Lance Dewease (4th), Jacob Allen (24th), Carson Macedo (5th), Logan Schuchart (18th) and Freddie Rahmer (14th) rounded out the top ten.  Zach Hampton failed to get a time in.

The 25-lapper saw Larson take off from the field early.  Dietrich chased him ahead of Zearfoss and Haudenschild.  Scelzi shot by Schatz for the fifth spot on lap two.  Larson entered lapped traffic on lap six and was a knife through hot butter.  The only stoppage came for a five-car pileup 15 laps in involving Marks, tenth running McFadden, Sweet, Dewease and Macedo.  Dewease and Macedo were done for the night.  The single-file restart saw Larson leading Dietrich, Zearfoss, Haudenschild and Scelzi.  Larson took off again, leaving no doubt who was going to win this one.  Haudenschild slid under Zearfoss in turn four with five to go to claim third.  Larson was back in lapped traffic with three to go.  Scelzi passed Zearfoss with two to go for fourth.  Rahmer was the hard-charger.
