Hanks got into the wall on the restart. Westbrook took fourth from Crockett once the race was green again. Baughman gained on the leader on the low side. On lap five, Hahn tried to go low in three and four to block, but missed his mark. Baughman cruised by to the line, but Hahn hit the top of one and two to retake the lead on lap six. At that point, J. Swindell hit the turn four wall hard. He was o.k. The last fully completed lap was lap five, so Baughman led the restart, ahead of Hahn, Nienhiser, Westbrook and Crockett. Hahn blasted the top of one and two to take the lead back, as things setteled in. Westbrook passed Nienhiser to take third on lap 13. Hahn entered lapped traffic on the 15th circuit and things got interesting. Low was the place to be for the leaders, and Hahn missed it in lapped traffic on lap 16, with Baughman shooting past. The next lap the reverse happened and Hahn bumped under Baughman to retake the point. On lap 18, Russell hit the turn four infield tire and dumped it down the frontstretch. He walked away. Mark Smith was also involved and exited. The restart saw Hahn leading Baughman, Westbrook, Nienhiser and Hagar. Hafertepe spun and retired at that point. Dover spun 19 laps in. The last six laps went non-stop. Hahn held onto his lead while everything broke loose behind him. With three laps to go, a four car battle resulted in Westbrook emerging with second after squeezing between Baughman and front stretch wall. Nienhiser, Hagar and Baughman trailed him to the line. Paulus was the hard-charger.
