The 30-lapper saw Peck take the early lead over McFadden and Eliason. Neitzel and McIntyre came together a lap in. Neitzel replaced a flat left front tire and both continued. Peck led McFadden, Eliason, Wilson and Zearfoss back to green. Wilson grabbed third on the restart, while Blaney moved into the top five himself. The leaders entered lapped traffic on the sixth circuit. Peck was in the midst of three lapped cars and taking heat on lap ten. McFadden was able to shoot by him for the lead in turn two on the eleventh lap. By turn three, Peck had hit the high cushion in turn three and tipped over. He was ok. Now McFadden led Wilson, Blaney, Eliason and Madsen. Goldesberry spun and exited thirteen laps in. McFadden led the group back to green, while McMahan found the high side around Madsen to eek into the top five on the restart. A lap later, Thiel tipped over in turn two. His car was righted, and he continued. McFadden was running low in one and two and high in three and four. McMahan rode the cushion around Eliason on lap 18 for fourth. McFadden was back in traffic with four to go. Reutzel snagged fourth from McMahan with three to go, but no one was catching McFadden, who celebrated with car owner, Kasey Kahne. Reutzel was the hard-charger.
