Johnson led the distance of the 8-lapper.  The top 16 in passing points from the heats moved on to the feature.  This one went mostly single-file on a fast, tacky surface.  Bickett exited on lap two.  Lutz lost power steering late and slowed.

Heat two (started, *qualified for feature): 1. Chris Martin 44 (1*) 2. Matt Juhl 09 (5*) 3. Terry McCarl 4 (6*) 4. Jake Bubak 9x (2*) 5. Seth Brahmer 13v (8*) 6. John Klabunde 77 (3) 7. Tyler Drueke 12 (4) 8. Zach Blurton 2J (7) 9. Mark Chisholm 56x (9)

Martin led Bubak and Juhl, who moved up from fifth early on.  Juhl took second from Bubak on lap two and made a couple of bids at C. Martin for a lead that didn’t materialize.  McCarl moved up to fourth on lap three and got by Bubak with two to go to finish third.

Heat three (started, *qualified for feature): 1. Cody Ledger 35L (2*) 2. Don Droud Jr. 2 (3*) 3. Gregg Bakker 11x (7*) 4. Shayle Bade 03 (1*) 5. Brian Brown 21 (5*) 6. Jody Rosenboom 14 (6) 7. Dylan Omdahl 2o (8) 8. Dusty Ballenger 2D (4) DNS – Tadd Holliman 19

Problems in hot laps saw Holliman scratch for the night.  Ballenger did the same after exiting a lap in.  Up front, Ledger led the distance, while Bakker was the prime moved, finishing third after starting in row four.

B main (started): 1. Klabunde (2) 2. Rosenboom (1) 3. Drueke (4) 4. Lutz (6) / 5. Snyder (3) 6. Bickett (8) 7. Blurton (5) 8. Chisholm (7) 9. Omdahl (9) DNS – Ballenger, Holliman


Klabunde and Rosenboom traded the lead on lap one, but Klabunde would lead the distance in the 12-lapper that took the top four to the feature.  The top four were in their spots by the completion of lap one.  Bickett challenged Snyder for fifth in the best action of the event.

The 25-lap non-stop feature saw McCarl shoot out from his pole position early, ahead of Roberts and C. Martin.  Droud got by C. Martin for third on lap two.  Dover was on the move from outside row five and into sixth by lap five, on a still fast 4/10-mile.  Juhl, who had retreated early, looked low and then rode the cushion around C. Martin for fourth on lap nine.  Two laps later, he was by Droud for third.  Dover followed him into fourth on lap 12.  McCarl entered lapped traffic on lap 13.  Juhl really started working the last five laps, taking second from Roberts on lap 21.  Dover got by Roberts for third on lap 22 in traffic.  McCarl had opened up a big lead, but stalled a bit in traffic.  The last two laps, he was caught in the middle of turn one, trying to knife between two lappers.  Meanwhile, Juhl was reeling him in.  As McCarl went low in turn three on the last lap, Juhl pounded the cushion and rode around for the lead and the $2,500 win, in an exciting finish.  Dover was the hard-charger, moving up seven spots.
