David Gravel (19th car out to time) set the standard in time trials on the 4/10-mile oval with a lap of 13.304 seconds.  Brad Sweet (2nd car out) was second quick, followed by Daryn Pittman (12th), Joey Saldana (10th), Brian Brown (8th), Ian Madsen (6th), Logan Schuchart (18th), Jason Johnson (13th), Donny Schatz (5th) and Jason Sides (4th).  Jacob Allen had issues in hot laps, as did Wayne Johnson, who broke a u-joint.  Both made it back for qualifying.  Glen Saville qualified on a sour sounding motor.

This 8-lapper was a crazy start to the night.  Gravel jumped out ahead of Saldana and Schuchart.  With a lap in the books, Phillips made contact with Covington, bending the left rear wheel on the #95.  Sides worked by Schuchart for third on the restart.  Phillips would hit the wall hard in turn three with two laps down, ending his night.  Gravel was the lcass of the field, and Saldana joined him in the Dash.  The top six transferred to the feature.

Before a lap could be completed Stewart slid into J. Johnson in turn three sending the Ragin’ Cajun upside down.  The #41 team would bring the backup out for the B.  Brown stormed to the lead ahead of Stewart and Sweet in the early going.  Stewart would surrender the second spot when he shelled a rear-end with five laps down, joining J. Johnson in the B.  Brown used the high side to pull away again for the win with Sweet in tow.

Dash (started): 1. Sweet (2) 2. I. Madsen (1) 3. Pittman (4) 4. Saldana (3) 5. Gravel (6) 6. Brown (5)

An invert of six was drawn for the Dash.  I. Madsen led Sweet and Pittman early.  Brown spun with two laps down.  I. Madsen chose the inside line on the double-file restart ahead of Sweet, Pittman and Saldana.  Brown, who restarted at the tail, roared by Gravel for fifth and had a head of steam on Pittman heading into turn three.  He ducked under him and got on the binders to avoid contact, backing it into the wall.  He would retire.  Sweet jumped to the point on that restart and led the rest of the way.

B main (started): 1. Stewart (1) 2. J. Johnson (6) 3. W. Johnson (3) 4. Covington (2) 5. Schultz (5) 6. Key (4) / 7. Saville (7) DNS – Phillips

A 12-lap B was run with the seven cars to take six transfers to the A.  The drama was over six laps in when Saville pulled to the infield.  Stewart led Covington early, but W. Johnson took second on lap two.  J. Johnson was on the move in his backup mount, grabbing third from Covington on lap three, and second from W. Johnson on lap nine.

The 30-lapper began with I. Madsen leading Sweet and Saldana.  Key slowed with three laps in the books bringing a caution.  J. Johnson went to the work area as well and rejoined the field.  I. Madsen chose the outside line on the restart, ahead of Sweet, Saldana, Pittman, Gravel and Brown.  Lap four saw an unbelievable move, when Saldana and Sweet made a sandwich of the leader.  Both made contact with I. Madsen in turn four as they went by.  Saldana emerged with the lead.  Covington stopped on lap five bringing another yellow.  Saldana chose the outside line on the restart, ahead of Seet, I. Madsen, Pittman, Gravel and Brown.  Brown shot up to fifth on the restart and then took fourth from Pittman on lap seven.  Meanwhile, Schatz was moving into the top five from his 12th starting spot.  He won from 10th here in 2015.  At that point, Gravel got into the turn three wall and flipped wildly.  He was uninjured.  Saldana chose the inside line this time, ahead of Sweet, I. Madsen, Brown, Pittman and Schatz.  Pittman shot under I. Madsen and Brown into third when the green fell.  Sweet remained on Saldana’s bumper and pulled a slider to lead lap 13.  Brown, I. Madsen and Schatz had a wild battle for fourth going when McMahan slowed on lap 15.  Pittman went by Saldana for second on that restart, while Schuchart emerged in the top five.  He slid under Brown in a pass for fourth on lap 19 in turn two.  Brown kept his line on the cushion but ran out of room when Schuchart’s right rear made heavy contact, breaking his front end.  The final restart saw Sweet choose the inside line over Pittman, Saldana, Schuchart and I. Madsen.  Schuchart would go by Saldana for third on lap 24.  I. Madsen would surrender his top five run when he pulled off with two to go.  Sweet would hold onto the win.  Stewart rounded out the top five at the checkers after coming from the B.
